Free website or database was archived
Free services that are not used for 6 months are archived automatically.
A Free website or database that you have not used for a long time no longer works and is marked as archived in the Control Panel. This is expected behaviour, not a fault.
Why services are archived
To save resources on the Free servers, our platform automatically archives Free websites and databases that have not been used for 6 months — that is, a website that received no requests and a database nobody connected to. This keeps the Free servers from filling up with abandoned projects.
Premium services are never archived for inactivity.
What you can do
You do not need the old data
Delete the archived website or database in the Control Panel and create a new one. You can use the same name and address again.
You need the data back
Open a support ticket and ask us to restore the archived website or database. Tell us exactly which services you want to restore.
How to avoid it
- Use the website from time to time — a website that receives requests is not considered inactive.
- For a project that has to stay online without interruption, upgrade to Premium.
