What you can run on MonsterASP.NET - and what is not supported.
MonsterASP.NET is a hosting platform focused on ASP.NET and .NET. Your applications run on Windows Server with the IIS web server, one application per website.

| ASP.NET Core / .NET | Current .NET versions, on Free and Premium. New websites are set up for modern .NET by default. |
| ASP.NET (.NET Framework 4.x) | Web Forms, MVC 5, Web API 2. Switch the website to .NET Framework under Scripting. |
| Blazor | Blazor Server and Blazor WebAssembly. |
| Node.js | See Run a Node.js application. |
| PHP | Premium plans only. |
| Static websites | HTML, CSS, JavaScript and single-page applications (Angular, React, Vue). |

Also supported: WebSockets and SignalR, environment variables, custom web.config including URL Rewrite rules, custom response headers and MIME types.
What is not supported
| Not supported | What to do instead |
|---|---|
| Python | Not available yet; it is planned for the future. |
| Docker containers | Publish your application as a regular website. |
| .NET Aspire orchestration (AppHost, dashboard) | Publish each service (API, Blazor, MVC) as a separate website and use our hosted databases through connection strings. |
| SSH access and command-line Git on the server | Use Web Deploy, FTP/SFTP or Git deploy. |
| Redis | Not offered yet. Use in-memory caching in your application or an external Redis service. |
Running other programs from your application
Starting a separate executable from a website is restricted. Tools that launch Chrome (Puppeteer, Playwright, Selenium) or FFmpeg are allowed on Premium plans only. See Website disabled by the security system and Supported PDF libraries.
